I am a single mama. Lesson to be learned here: don’t get married until you’re 30.
The little one and I live in our new apartment back home in the Midwest, and I love introducing her to my city.
I try to have a positive outlook on life, but it doesn’t always work, of course. Everyone always says, “God will never give you more than you can handle”, and I want to smack whoever came up with that phrase. Personally, I think it’s a load of bunk. So many people every day collapse under the weight of immense stress. But I am working on digging my way out, and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, instead of jumping in front of it.
Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy your stay. Even when I am at my most melancholy, I try to find the humor in it if I can. Here’s to a new beginning!

I hate that phrase too! God most certainly will give you more than you can handle. If we could handle everything ourselves, then we wouldn’t need Him. But we can’t, and we do! No one, especially God, ever promised that this life would be easy. But He did promise to carry you through it all. And I know He also gave you so many people who love and support you, and are thinking of you with love!
I can overnight you a huge hug and a big tasty martini if you want?!
That phrase is total bull shit. The end.
